MEANINGLESS or MEANINGFUL????

I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my work, and this was the reward for all my labor. Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 2:10-11 

I had it all!  

I did it all!  

I got it all!  

Yet, I couldn’t find a (meaningful) life

without God.

Everything I did, was meaningless without Him.

I gain NOTHING without God.

I smile as I write this:  There is no “I” in God.

As I live my life for and in God, life is full of meaning.

As I live my life for and in God, He is in control.

As I live my life for and in God, this life under the sun

is a good life, full of pleasure and delight. 

My reward is IN Him.  Everything I do, I DO as unto Him.

As God is in control, the “I”  is exchanged for something 

much better: God’s hand on my life, and on my labors and achievements.

It is not “mine” any longer, but God’s.

When I choose God, in all the things that I do, His hand is in it.  He walks with me, He guides me into all truth, for He is Truth!  I AM NEVER ALONE!

Nothing will ever be meaningless when God’s hand is on my life.

In Philippians, it says my assets are considered loss for the sake of Christ.

I would rather have the surpassing excellence of knowing Jesus Christ.  Everything else is rubbish!  I would rather GAIN Christ!  For, to me, living is Christ.

So, Abba, in this short message, we choose to GAIN Christ.  For, what good is it for someone to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?  It’s meaningless!

One who chooses to forfeit his soul has wasted his life.  Oh, Abba, let this not happen!

Please let us know that You are a wonderful God, a good God, a good FULL of meaning, and favor.  You love us, Lord.  And we mean EVERYTHING to You.  Let the one who doesn’t know You find this out for themselves, send someone to introduce You to them Abba.  Please let their lives not be meaningless in the end, for we all have an end.  I pray for salvation and ask You to come to them before it’s too late.  Lord, you know who they are, and Your love will cover the multitude of their sins.  

This I ask of You, in Jesus name.

I thank You that You are God, and Loving and Gracious and full of Mercy.  Come Lord Jesus, and send Your Word today.

In Jesus name, I pray.
