GOD, OUR DELIVERER

But you, Sovereign LORD, help me for your name’s sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me. For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. Psalm 109: 20-21 Have you ever been so hurt, that your heart felt torn from you? Being wounded in heart is a terrible thing. What I love about God is that He has made us with emotions, with feelings. When we are hurt, we can cry. Even get mad at the injustices! I have gone to God in prayer, very honest with my hurts, and in His time, God blessed me. The reason I say 'in His time' is because His time is not my time! It may take time for me to give in and be tired of the hurt, and to be honest with Him; for God to work. Forgiveness is surrendering the hurt.  And sometimes it takes time. I thank God, He is patient with me. Because in this story, the scripture is true, GOD IS MY DELIVERER.  He helps me through the hurt, through the pain, and reminds me that "this too shall pass" if I let Him. Jesus, thank you for this scripture. Thank you that we were created to be loved by You. You are so compassionate with us, even through our pain and difficult times. Help us to run to You with honesty. Help us to surrender the hurts, and deliver us, Abba. For Your name's sake. Thank you for Your goodness. This we ask in Jesus name. Amen!
