The Lord is gracious and compassionate

1 Thes 5: 16-18

My friend Kevvo wrote me this morning these words.
Just one of my favs I thought I would share with you.
What is your experience with this one:

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1Thes 5:16-18

I thought I would respond here.

Well Kev,
My first very first thought is this:
to please the Father.
In this scripture, there are three things that are the will of the Father:
Thanksgiving, Prayer, and Rejoicing!!!
And not just any kind of rejoicing, but, ALWAYS KIND of rejoicing!!!!
God wants us IN TUNE with HIM! IN TUNE with a thankful heart, with a prayerful attitude, always in constant communication with God, without ceasing, not stopping, wanting to know what God has to say about your life!
Because guaranteed, with God in charge, in control, FULL CONTROL, we will have something to rejoice in the Lord about!!!

Jesus first! God bless you Kev.
Thanks for the scripture!!!mgive me some more!

Love,
lolo

GOD, OUR DELIVERER

But you, Sovereign LORD, help me for your name’s sake;
out of the goodness of your love, deliver me.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

Psalm 109: 20-21

Have you ever been so hurt, that your heart felt torn from you?
Being wounded in heart is a terrible thing.

What I love about God is that He has made us with emotions, with feelings.
When we are hurt, we can cry. Even get mad at the injustices!

I have gone to God in prayer, very honest with my hurts, and in His time, God blessed me.
The reason I say 'in His time' is because His time is not my time!

It may take time for me to give in and be tired of the hurt, and to be honest with Him; for God to work. Forgiveness is surrendering the hurt.
And sometimes it takes time.

I thank God, He is patient with me.
Because in this story, the scripture is true,
GOD IS MY DELIVERER.
He helps me through the hurt, through the pain, and reminds me that "this too shall pass" if I let Him.

Jesus, thank you for this scripture. Thank you that we were created to be loved by You.
You are so compassionate with us, even through our pain and difficult times.
Help us to run to You with honesty.
Help us to surrender the hurts, and deliver us, Abba. For Your name's sake.

Thank you for Your goodness.
This we ask in Jesus name.

Amen!

GOD IS MY SHIELD

End the evil of those who are wicked,
and defend the righteous.
For you look deep within the mind and heart,
O righteous God.
God is my shield,
saving those whose hearts are true and right.
God is an honest judge.
He is angry with the wicked every day.
If a person does not repent,
God will sharpen his sword;
he will bend and string his bow.
He will prepare his deadly weapons
and shoot his flaming arrows.  Psalm 7:9-13

God LOVES what is true and right: the righteous.  He LOOKS deep within the mind and heart.

Is He looking at you?

What does He find?  A good heart, a repentant heart?  Or, an evil heart?

Father, YOU are our Shield.  Help us to flee evil- resist the devil.  Help us to completely submit ourselves to You, Lord.
You defend the righteous.  We run to You- We depend on You to save us from the wicked.

Abba, we repent of all sin and of all wickedness.  We will purposely go in a different direction of sin and evil.  For walking away from sin leads us to the direction of Light; to YOU, Abba.

I choose to follow the path You made for me, for I know, my steps are ordered.  I do not want to detour, for I know your bow is strung, prepared, ready for the wicked, unrighteous, and unrepentant.

Help me to see that if I choose YOU, I choose Life!  You are my shield, my rock, my fortress.  You are my deliverer!  It is in You I take refuge.  It is good to know that You are my refuge, my stronghold, my Savior.

Father, help me to be upright in heart.  I want You to find me when You search for the righteous.
I do not want to be counted with the enemy- or be considered unrighteous.  But be counted with the ones You call excellent.

Thank you that You are our shield!  Thank you, that I need not concern myself with the things of this world, except to LOOK TO JESUS, the Author and Finisher of my faith.  To keep myself clean and pure, so I may see God.

Help me as I walk this walk of faith on the Highway of Holiness.  Thank you that the unclean can not cross- and that the enemy has a boundary.  Thank you, Abba.

Thank you that we are protected, and provided for- all our needs are met, and it is YOU we acknowledge and thank!  Amen Jesus.  Hallelujah!!! Amen Jesus, thank you for all we ask in your name, giving You glory, where glory is due.

In Jesus name, we ask, praying to believe to receive.  Amen Jesus.

Psalm 84:18-19 Jesus, my Support

When I said, "My foot is slipping,"
Your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.

When anxiety was great within me,
Your consolation brought me joy.

*****************************
This scripture speaks so loud and so clear to my spirit!

I have to admit that I have been anxious lately.
I have worried about the things in front of me.

Then Jesus comes, in a form of a grandma
and in a form of a sweet sister: encouraging me!

“Don’t fret, don’t cry: IT IS WELL,
THIS TOO SHALL PASS…"

“Your tears have washed away what needs to be washed away, so
your eyes can see God work.”

God takes care of us all.

He rains on the just and the unjust,
BUT,
He rests His favor on the righteous!

So, when my foot slips,
Here’s Jesus to support me.

He is my Rock to lean on
Bringing me the consolation of JOY- His fullness of Joy

As I cry unto God, my very present help in times of trouble
with His unfailing love and compassion, HE comes:
the lifter of my head.

I X O Y E

So Father,
Thank You for your unfailing love
that surrounds me
& supports me.

Thank You for Your loving kindness,
goodness and mercy that follow me
all the days of my life.

Best of all Lord, thank You that You care about me, ALL OF ME. and you love me through my humanness!

In Jesus name,  Amen Jesus.

DAY OF PRAYER

Almighty God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
We gather with believers all over the world,
to glorify You as Creator of heaven and earth.
You alone are holy and righteous.
We submit to Your authority.
We praise and adore You alone.
Father, we honour You
Lord Jesus Christ, we honour You
Holy Spirit, we honour You
Our Father in heaven,
Thank You for loving the world so much
that You gave Your only Son, Jesus Christ,
to die on the cross for our sins
so that we could be reconciled to You.
Fill us with your love as we faithfully intercede for the lost,
the hopeless, the helpless and the world.
Thank You Father, for adopting us into Your family.
Lord Jesus Christ,
You died on the cross and
redeemed us to the Father by Your blood.
You are Head of the Church
and Lord of all heaven and earth.
Let Your kingdom be established in every nation of the world
bring transformation among peoples of all tribes and languages
so that righteousness and justice will prevail.
May Your Name be great, from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Jesus Christ, You are Lord of all.
Father of mercy and grace,
We have sinned.
Our world is gripped by the power of sin.
Our hearts are grieved by injustice, hatred and violence.
We are shamed by oppression, racism and bloodshed in our land.
We mourn all loss of life in murder, war and terrorism.
Our homes are broken and our churches are divided by rebellion and pride.
Our lives are polluted by selfishness, greed, idolatry and sexual sin.
God of mercy, forgive our sins.
Pour out Your grace and heal our land.
Spirit of the living God,
Transform Your Church into the image of Jesus Christ.
Release Your power to bring healing to the sick,
freedom to the oppressed and comfort to those who mourn.
Fill us with compassion
for the homeless and the hungry
for orphans, widows and the elderly.
Give us wisdom and insight for our world’s problems
to use the resources of the earth for the well-being of all.
Holy Spirit, guide us and lead us.
Lord Jesus Christ,
You destroyed sin, conquered death and defeated Satan.
Remove the veil of darkness that covers the peoples.
Restrain the evil that promotes violence and death.
Deliver us from demonic oppression.
Break the hold of slavery, tyranny and disease.
Help us to tear down strongholds and ideologies
that resist the knowledge of God.
Almighty God, deliver us from evil.
King of Glory,
Come and finish Your work in our cities, our peoples and our nations.
From all continents and islands we cry:
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Be lifted up ancient doors
so that the King of glory may come in!
Come fill the earth with the knowledge of Your glory
as the waters cover the sea.
The Spirit and the Bride say:
Amen! Come Lord Jesus..

What is home?

What is truth?  Pilate asked this question to Jesus, I ask this same question to us…what is truth?

Last week I wrote a letter to a friend, and told him that I didn’t feel at home.

Home to me is where God is.

Home to me in church is where God is.  If God isn’t there (on purpose) in the congregation, in worshipful appreciation of God, it’s not home!

If we can’t worship the Lord in PRAISE, then what are we doing?  Are we wasting our time, or putting in our time at church for our hour or so to make ourselves feel better?  Tradition? bahh

This is not the way it is suppose to be.

To get up on Sunday morning, RELIGIOUSLY, dress prettily, put on that big hat, ladies.  And men, don’t forget to straighten up that tie.  Some churches dress casual- which is okay too, Jesus looks at the heart, not the wardrobe.  But something is missing!

The psalmist who opens up the service, inviting us to praise, is enthusiastic, but the crowd is still asleep.  The song needs a few voices to ring out harmonious praise to the Lord, yet, silence is what we hear.  Quiet voices.  What about clapping?
What about making a joyful noise unto the Lord?  What about the sacrifice of praise we sing about?
Are they just words to pass the time?

Home is where Jesus is.  Where two or three gathered together!  Excitement!  Appreciation!  Jesus is with us, here, in this place.  He is in our audience.  We are singing to HIM!

Yet, they are silent.  Some are bored.  Some are more enthusiastic in yawning, than praising.

If people think heaven is like what we see in churches today, no wonder the world is lacking-Is this the reason of what they see that makes them not accept the invitation to “accept Jesus,”??? This is what I find so sad.
WE are the problem- church- we are the problem.

A pastor who doesn’t pastor the church? what’s wrong with this picture???  Some who give themselves names, Apostle, for one…who is the furthest thing from representing God’s complete picture-  yes, I get angry!  I get angry of People here who call themselves CHRISTIAN  who can not show "truth" in demonstration.

Ones who can’t applaud God?  Ones who can’t appreciate His goodness?  Ones who are too busy looking Christian, yet are so far away that it must break God’s heart.

SHAME on us who can’t take the step of faith to Praise our maker with freedom.  To clap our hands in praise- to sing as loud as we can to bring honor and glory to our God, because we LOVE HIM!

I want to honor God, and if it takes leaving a dead church- (a pruning if you will) that’s what I have to do.  If it takes “discernment” on my part- being watchful, not judgmental (this is hard) WATCHFUL- because these leaders are our shepherds.  And, these shepherds need to be right!  They need to be right in their own spirits.  They need to practice what they preach!  God has shown me (though) that this is HIS business, when they don't; not mine.

Rev 2 has shown me something…  I myself need to be careful, or God is going to take away my lamp, and I don’t want that.  Bitterness is a terrible root.  It destroys.  I know, I am a survivor, and still have relapses.

It makes me so angry when the pulpit is taken for granted & when it is not taken as a sacred place.  A place where we RE- present Jesus.  Representing Him to the Lost, re- presenting Him to ears who listen.  But, when the pulpit is a place of mere words, memorized from someone else's script, pointing fingers, and forgetting that one points back at them…the room becomes small.  Because pride becomes great and big, and sometimes Jesus gets pushed out the door, off the pulpit, and the world wonders why there are so many hypocrites.  They are right!

I am hypocritical at times, and I have to repent. But I never write something that the Lord gives me to look good, to look big and smart (because I know I am not) and to get glory.

All that comes through these fingers belong to God.  I am HIS handi-work… And all the glory goes to God!

When these messages or scriptures open up to me, they are mine first. God speaks to me first.  It is my spirit that is being ministered to…then it goes to the group.  If I am not blessed (which never has happened) then nothing will be sent.  But God always blesses me!

This word is a reminder, an encouragement.  When you go to church…remember, you are going to see God.  This is our way to be with Him.  This is our way to show Him our best.  Our highest praise comes from our mouth when we sing and worship His precious name.  Our faith is ignited!
Dynamite happens! Jesus shows up with the two or three who worship Him in spirit in truth, and blesses more and above all we can ask or think!

He said, “Make a joyful noise!”  so you can’t sing, big deal; make a joyful noise!  Don’t be ashamed to clap your hands.  The bible tells you to do so.  “Clap your hands all ye people, shout to the Lord with a voice of triumph,” scripture says.

So, I can say, a man with out hands has an excuse.  A person who is mute, has an excuse.
But a person who calls themselves: CHRISTIAN; Christ Follower, Child of God HAS NO EXCUSE to NOT praise their Father.

We were created to worship the Lord!

To the ones who sit on their hands- on purpose- you need to talk to God- and ask Him why you can’t worship Him the way He wants you to.

To the one who calls themselves a name & the world sees a different name, you need to talk to God and ask Him why the word Christian is just a word, and not an action.  We need to repent of our sin-

Worship is our open door to blessings.  Praise God in church- if you want your blessing!  Clap your hands all ye people!!! Shout to the Lord with a voice of triumph…. our blessing….

Jesus help us.
YOU are truth.
We worship you- Way, Truth, and Life.
The disciples asked You to teach them how to pray.  Lord, teach us how to worship you in spirit and in truth.  The kind of truth that pleases the Father.

Forgive us when we sit on our hands.  Forgive us when we are ashamed.  Forgive us when pride takes over, or any sin for that matter.  Jesus we need You, more than ever.  Help us Lord.

Show us YOU- let us see, and understand that when we walk through the doors of a church, we are not going to drink tea and crumpets with our friends, and visit.  Or, hear a message that the pastor has been working so hard to make perfect.  Or, even hear the band.  And some who witness the poor leader motivate and cheer on the crowd to PRAISE JESUS- almost begging them- just to be disappointed… no wonder the mike is so loud.  Show us, in word and in deed the importance of Worshiping You, Lord.

YOU are HOME, and YOU are TRUTH, let this resonate in our hearts, in Jesus name, Amen Jesus!!!

And all the nations of the world
will mourn for Him.

“I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Rev 1:5-8

GOD'S PRESENT TO THE WISE AND DISCERNING

Daniel 2:21
He (GOD) changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

Are you wise and discerning?

The time is here! Change is here.  Different kings, different seasons....  Only the wise and discerning
will survive.

God's Word is our survival! Knowing it is vital!
Change is here, meaning, false prophets too.  Do you know your word to discern what GOD says v/s the other?

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God.  He gives wisdom liberally.  He will never rebuke you if you ask Him!  God is the giver of everyone good and perfect gift! He wants you to have His God breathed power in you....
Every scripture is God breathed....so get God's breath in you!  Gods said His word does not return to Him void.... If you have strong faith, and speak God's very words, with the power of God backing you, no wonder you will find rest at every side!

How do you obtain knowledge?
How do we get wisdom?

Study, study, study!

God promises wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to the discerning.

It's yours....free of charge to you, the price has been paid!  Jesus has paid the price- the wise can hear his voice. Only the one who says yes to Jesus will be free from sin that separates man from God.

This is the first step to your Eternity with God!  He has many more blessings and gifts to the believer.

All this begins with faith!
Again, are you wise, are you discerning?

Now, to the unbeliever reading this now, this will take discerning on your part.  A test of faith.

By taking the leap of faith and saying YES to Jesus, discerning in your heart that the agreement between you and God is real, knowing in your heart that Jesus died on the cross and resurrected is real, and that by simply asking Jesus to forgive your sins and come make home in your heart is also real. Praise God!

For the believer, this is our reality.  We have made our choice based on the knowledge of scripture.  We have been truly eternally blessed!  Hallelujah

Let us all allow the breath of God breathe out of our mouths!

HOME/HOUSE

Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant.  His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later.

But CHRIST, as the SON, is in CHARGE of God’s entire house.

And, we are God’s house if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.

Heb 3: 5-6

THE WORD OF OUR GOD- STANDS FOREVER.... AMEN

The Word of our God stands forever!

In the beginning was the Word
the word was with God
the Word was God.

Study to show yourselves approved by God.
A workman is not ashamed
rightly dividing the word of truth.

Jesus said: The reason I was born
and came into the world
is to testify to the truth.
Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.

For the word of God is living
and active
and sharper than any two-edged sword
piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit
of both joints and morrow
and is able to discern
the thoughts and intentions
of the heart.

For He is our peace
He who has made Jews and Gentiles one
and in His own human nature
has broken down the hostile dividing wall.

The person who continues to study
God’s perfect teachings
that make people free
and who remains committed to them
will be blessed.

I will study your commandments
and reflect your ways
I want to reflect on your guiding principles
and study your ways.

Jesus bless us today-allow us to know you: The Word.  To study all about You so we won’t be ashamed.  Help us as we rightly divide your Word which is truth, breaking down the hostile dividing wall- Pierce and divide the thoughts and intentions of our heart, Lord.
Help us to discern and study your commandments, as we reflect & study your ways.
Thank you for making us free.  Help us as we purposely remain committed to you.
You promise us blessings.  Thank You, In Jesus name, Amen!

************************************************************************************************************
This is one of my last letters of 2014.
I just noticed my calendar as I was typing, it is now 2015- January first, as a matter of fact!
I can not believe this.

Father God has given me lots of love letters and information via way of the Holy Spirit.

I have typed many a hour, cried many a tear, and have been very surprised at what has come out of me, because of Jesus.

I have said many times:  JESUS IS LORD, and I truly mean it!

Not only do I “mean” it, I “live it” too!

I honor my Father in the way I live.  It is all I have to offer as “reasonable service”  ((Romans 12:1-2 says:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. KJV))

Living a life: HOLY & ACCEPTABLE UNTO GOD.  Presenting myself to God a living sacrifice, not conformed and living a life of and in this world, but the reality of God’s presence, as if God is with me- watching all I do, IN all I do and say, approving all I am IN HIM.  I need to transform myself!  Starting with my mind- starting with God’s Word, beginning with God- staying in His will, keeping Him first…THIS is my reasonable service.

With me having a holy fear of of not wanting God’s disapproval of any of my actions.  I choose to be holy as HE is holy.  I choose to be honorable in the sight of my Abba.

My reality is not of this world!  But of my Heavenly Father, in whom Jesus introduced us to.  My belief in Him astounds me as I grow in Him daily.  He opens Himself up to me day by day as I pray revelation, wisdom, knowledge, understanding.  Growing in Him, abounding in Him as He enables me IN HIM— Hallelujah, God is so good!

I grew in 2014, and 2015 will be even better!  Let me rephrase this:  We grew in 2014, & will continue to grow by the grace of God in 2015!
As God fills up the chest- the treasure chest,  it will be emptied.

Freely, Freely you have received….   Freely, freely give….  This scripture is our mission!  A goal!
Our reasonable service, maybe? hmm, good point!

And as God's word is fed through my fingertips, it will get sent out and bless someone- for God’s Word will not return to Him void, as well as this child will be diligent, obedient, giving as God is giving to me.

His treasure chest full of nuggets of  Him, rubies, diamonds, tried gold and silver
nuggets of wisdom, wonderful wisdom from the heartbeat of our Abba.

No wonder I cry- He is so sweet, so gentle, so…God!

So in this New Year, Do yourself a favor.  Present yourself to God.
Can you do this?

Jesus gave Himself to us- learn about Him!
Can you do this?

Walk by FAITH not by sight!
and with God’s help, we can walk in Victory shouting in triumph: Yes, I CAN DO THIS!

With God before me- who, who??? can be against me??? I can do all things through Christ Jesus who is my strength!

So friends, have a Happy NEW Year- growing in your God- ALMIGHTY GOD that is!
Jesus Christ is Lord…tell someone, as you Present yourselves unto God- acceptable- holy and a living sacrifice, which is our reasonable service; which means: this is something we CAN do!

God bless you!
Sincerely,
Lorraine
